Bon Weekend: 10 October 2014

I was talking to someone recently about what luxury means.  We both agreed that it doesn’t always have to mean something expensive. For me, luxury means the little things that brighten my world like fresh flower. In New York, we’re lucky to have a bodega on every corner selling flowers so it’s easy and inexpensive to pick up a bouquet.  Roses are the best option right now but I did find a bodega at 81st and 3rd who was selling hyacinths out of season. You can certainly visit the Flower District for any type of flower you wish but I love supporting my local stores. Why not take a minute this weekend to buy yourself or your friends and family some flowers.

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”
