Making Magic in Milan

I really hope W magazine appreciates that I spent 11 euros on their August issue in Colette yesterday.  While reading online is ok, nothing beats reading a real magazine at night before bed.  It was actually worth the money because I got to see gorgeous photos by Francois Halard of Alessandra Facchinetti’s Milan apartment.  Facchinetti is the creative director of woman’s collections for Tod’s, a role that everyone agrees is her best fit yet.  Like many creative fashion people, she worked on her apartment herself from hunting for antiques to choosing the fabrics for the upholstery. She says of it in the article, “This is the first place I’ve lived that really reflects me.” It’s no wonder that all tis interior decorating would also spill over into the sets for the Tod’s very chic fashion presentations. It is definitely worth picking up W magazine to read the whole story. I, on the other hand, need to stop buying expensive American magazines in Paris so I can buy a Tod’s bag this fall.

A look at the autumn/winter 2014 Tod’s presentation.

Wow! I love all the antiques – you can definitely tell its a personal and carefully curated collection. I know the post is about the apartment, but I also have to note that I love that pale blue Tod bag in the first shot as well! Gorgeous!
