Bon Weekend: Blake Lively Edition
07 . 18 . 14
I usually like to end the week with a personal Bon Weekend post about Paris but it’s too hot to think here. I appreciate open French windows and fresh air until it reaches 90 degrees. Then I start to miss American style arctic air conditioning. Although I have to say it’s no where near as bad as 90 degrees in NYC.
Anyway let’s take a look at Blake Lively in sweaters and coats in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the new August 2014 Age Issue of Vogue magazine and pretend it’s cold outside. It looks very reminiscent of a Bruce Weber shoot for Ralph Lauren but she was actually photographed by Mario Testino. Lively has just announced that her new internet venture, Preserve, which will feature and profile people in American who are making things. It’s already being compared to Goop but Preserve will be less about an aspirational lifestyle and more a celebration of artisans and their work. I can’t find a website for it yet so I can’t give you a link but you can read the entire Vogue article here. I look forward to Martha Stewart’s mentee has in store for us. Until the, stay cool!
Bon Week-end !

Great photo shoot – i just finished watching (for the n’th time) ‘Legends of the Fall’ for Fall inspiration. This shoot brings back some wonderful American design, with a pure American backdrop. Thanks for the beauty, and find a place to keep cool!!!
My hometown. Never did we look so chic hiking and riding in the Tetons.
Wonderful Heather, I cannot wait to see more of Blake’s new adventure, Preserve!

What a gorgeous shoot. Refreshing to see one in the outdoors like that…I feel like I haven’t come across a magazine spread like that in awhile. I also adore Blake Lively. Anytime I watch interviews, she seems like a positive, sweet gal that has a good head on her shoulders. Can’t wait for her site launch. Thanks for sharing the photos, I’ll have to pick up the new issue pronto! xo
