Paris in the Summer

06 . 30 . 14“I love Paris in the summer, when it sizzles.”
– Cole Porter
I had planned a different post today but I was sidetracked by a long walk, a visit with my friend Eleanor, and the World Cup. We’ll be back tomorrow with a longer post but until then, a few photos from Paris in the summer including the Ferris Wheel in the Jardin des Tuileries above.
Saw these two cuties on rue Saint Honore and couldn’t resist taking their photo. French children really are adorable and very well mannered. And well dressed!
The roses are back in bloom in the Jardin du Palais Royal.
I’ve never seen this lavender in the Tuileries before. It felt very much like Provence had visited Paris
The planters in Paris are the chicest and this little tree almost looks like a heart. Perfect since I very much heart Paris right now.

Those children are postcard perfect in their little outfits. Love seeing the photos. I feel like I’m there!
Gorgeous Heather. I know, I was stalking children in Paris taking photos of their darling outfits. I may not comment every day, but just so you know…I am enjoying (savouring really) every delicious Paris post of yours…!
Always reading!

Heather, your blog is one of the very few I’ve consistently followed over the years!!! You do a brilliant job! And I love your unique perspective on French culture!

The children–so precious. I wish we (as in California) paid a bit more attention to what our children wear. This little pair looks as if time has stood still–great photos. Thanks. Mary
We must have been on the Rue Saint Honore at the exact same time! I was heading to Goyard mid-afternoon yesterday with my daughter and her boyfriend, and my daughter spotted the exact same children on the sidewalk. They were adorable! What a small world.
