Just because I’m in Paris doesn’t mean I’m not keeping up with what’s going on aux Etats-Unis. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have just opened their first stand alone store for their uber-chic fashion house The Row in Melrose Place in Los Angeles. Like their collections, it’s very clean and simple. The space will not only sell clothing but also furniture from JF Chen, Galerie Half, Blackman Cruz, and Thomas Hayes Gallery some which include a Jean Prouvé dining table, a Fortuny floor lamp, Poul Kjaerholm coffee tables, and Paul McCobb woven leather chairs. The space was previously a hair salon that the sisters used to frequent which made them jump the minute it became available. I can’t wait to check it out for myself when I get back to the States…if I ever come back.

Don’t come back! haha Or do..i’m so torn…
They have such amazing style. I was just finally watching “scatter my ashes at Bergdorfs” this past weekend and was struck at what great and intelligent speakers both of these young ladies are. I look forward to seeing so much more from them!
I’m going that way this morning and will give it a drive by. The Row has amazing style (as in CHIC) and who could be better than JF Chen at providing the furnishings. Have an amazing “Paris” day–but YOU ARE COMING BACK!

I wish a shopping experience (with the pool) like this was in Europe! It’s like walking into someone else’s house while shopping! Love their style.
