Beautiful Blues

Sometimes I feel like all European apartments are white so I was happy to see this Milan apartment filled with beautiful blue walls. It was featured in this weekend’s T magazine and is the home of Italian writer Benedetta Cibrario. Besides blue, it’s filled with gilt frames, multiple patterns, and pops of red. It’s the perfect mix of antiques and contemporary furniture that makes my heart sing. If you forgot to pick up The New York Times this weekend, you can read the entire issue of T magazine online.

Many of the fabrics are by Allegra Hicks.

The Empire mantle is the focal point of the apartment.

The bedroom wallpaper is Fleurs Rococo from Zoffany.
