Chic Eats: Sant Ambroeus Soho
by habituallychic
04 . 29 . 14The new Sant Ambroeus on Lafayette Street in Soho has been open since January but I finally made it down for lunch today. I got there a little early and had a chance to examine the interior design. I loved everything they chose including the photography, warm wood paneling, burnt orange leather banquettes with brass frames, dirty chartreuse velvet upholstery on the chairs, art deco light fixtures, and the geometric patterned floor. That description sounds like something that wouldn’t work but somehow it manages to be insanely chic. It actually looks better in person than it does in these photos. Oh, and the Italian cuisine is pretty delicious too. You can stop in for a full meal or a quick espresso at the counter. But I suggest lingering as long as possible to ogle the design details.

Looks so yummy!!
Thank you for the tip I must try it!!
I think those colors work well together because there are cream and wood tones–somewhat autumnal. The food looks wonderful!
Love the ambiance of the whole place – fashionably retro!
