I loved the photos of Arabella Musgrave’s wedding to George Galliers-Pratt that I saw on Instagram last month so it was nice to see the official photos on Vogue.com this morning. It was an understated and chic affair with beautiful flowers by Nikki Tibbles of Wild at Heart and a dress by Frida Giannini for Gucci, where the bride is head of Communications. No offense to those of you wore strapless dresses but I’ve never understood the popularity of very bare wedding dresses. Especially since no woman, except maybe Michelle Obama, likes their upper arms. I love the neckline and sleeves of Bella’s dress which was perfect for a February wedding. The lace dress by Sophia Kah that she wore to their evening dinner was lovely too. This is definitely going in my wedding file. To see more photos, click here.

understated yet very classy
So agree with you Heather re strapless … this dress is stunning … elegant, very feminine and dignified, which is what most men really want their wives to be. The leaving the church, at the door, is outstanding … I think she is the most gorgeous bridge I have ever seen.
Oh my goodness, this has to be the best wedding dress ever! It looks to me like a modern version of the Duchess of Windsor’s Wallis blue Mainbocher that she wore to her wedding in 1937. Understated, elegant and just perfect!

completely agree – I think one of my favorite wedding dresses I’ve seen, and perfectly elegant. She’ll love it to the end of her days. I actually wore a sleeved jacket as well and it ended up being my favorite part…sometimes, a little extra classic is a good thing…
