Chic in New York: The East Pole
by habituallychic
03 . 12 . 14“Uptown is the new downtown ” is no longer a joke now that The East Pole has opened on the Upper East Side. I’ve been hearing good things about the restaurant opened by the team responsible for The Fat Radish for a while but just experienced it for myself last night. I’ve also heard that it tends to be loud so my friend and I jumped at the chance to sit outside. The front outdoor area is currently covered for winter and has heat lamps and blankets. We were lucky to get a table at all since we didn’t make reservations which I highly recommend since the East Pole is pretty popular already. Our server could not have been nicer and the food was delicious even if our dishes did take a little while to arrive. The decor is pretty chic too as these photos from Nicole Franzen illustrate. I look forward to making The East Pole one of my neighborhood favorites and I hope we can sit outside again when the weather finally warms up.
