Dibs on Display

Someone once asked me if there was a moment that I knew I had made it as a blogger.  I always feel like I’m still trying to make it but one moment that stood out as an early milestone was when 1stdibs profiled me for their site.  To have their stamp of approval was an amazing feeling especially since I shopped their site for clients. Obviously, I’ve always had a soft spot for 1stdibs and it’s founder Michael Bruno and was a huge treat to see his new home in Tuxedo Park, New York featured in this weekend’s edition of the WSJ magazine.  You can read the whole article here. I love that Michael Bruno says, “Our rooms are very collected, not decorated. A decorator looks at a space and then imagines what should be bought to go in it. I buy things I love and then I find a place to put them.” I wish everyone subscribed to this attitude.
