On Acid

10 . 24 . 13One of my favorite rooms at the Hearst Designer Visions Showhouse was Alessandra Branca‘s master bedroom. It featured walls upholstered in her new acid green Anna Damask fabric for Schumacher, which is a tumbled linen. What I really appreciate about her space is the fully function draperies and completely authentic design. I was surprised to notice another designer had just created faux drapery panels. I go to show houses not only for inspiration but to learn techniques from the best designers in the world and I appreciate that Alessandra went the extra mile.

such a beautiful room but I would expect nothing less! I never understand why people bother making curtains that don’t operate. Why even bother? They look fake and serve no purpose!
I love the wallpaper design. You’d think putting it everywhere would be garish, but it really works.
Although the acid green is not my color of choice it is a beautifully designed room and each and every detail is perfect.
Love the grey couch, all the grey interiors you’ve been showing actually– inspiring!
Love, love this room. I cannot personally live with large expanses of this color; however I appreciate it all and adore the small leather chair!

This is a bold color move, the gray cuts the edge and calms it all down. Nice to see Allesandra still got some of her signature color of red in the room.
Luv this color….
