The first thing on my “to do” list on my book signing trip to Chicago was to visit the Art Institute of Chicago.  I still can’t believe I’ve never visited before and it was a treat to see the famous George Seurat painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte from 1884. The holiday decoration were also worth the visit.

Whoa! You were in Chicago signing your book? How in the world did I miss that *hits forehead* well, happy that you were able to see our beautiful city.
    Have a great day

If you ever have the chance, see the play ‘Sunday in the Park with George’. It really brings the painting to life.

All of these iconic impressionist paintings in one place. And they let you take photos? Thanks for posting about them. Makes my day.

Can’t believe they let you take photos.. but so happy you shared them. Looks like they have a nice collection of Impressionist works.

One of my favorite places to go when I’m in Chicago visiting my daughter. I love the new modern wing, too. And isn’t Jayson Home & Garden a dream?!?
