Tommy’s Turf
by habituallychic
11 . 08 . 12One of my favorite things that have come about because of my blog has been my friendship with interior designer Tommy Smythe. I used to watch him on Design Inc. with Sarah Richardson and literally laugh out loud at all his funny quips. Now I get to experience them in person and this time on his turf in Toronto. Not sure if he’ll let me see his new home but I sure am going to try. Until then, let’s take another look at one of his previous chic homes that was featured in Canadian House & Home. If that Hermes blanket is missing after my trip, I don’t know anything about it.

Just love this house and the owner incredible style. So clean, fresh and alive. Not a pretentious bone anywhere.
Thanks for the great post, hope your all OK in wind ravaged New York?
best wishes from warm Brisbane,

And if the Hawaiian State flag pillow is gone blame me!
I love Tommy! He’s hilarious. I live near Toronto and I wish I could somehow get Tommy here to decorate my entire house.
You’re sure to have a great time, we’re having lots of sunshine today and tomorrow, safe travels!
What is that color on the walls in the bedroom???? If you can find out let us know cause it. Is. AWESOME!
I have always loved Tommy Smythe. His way of mixing it up and highlighting even a small artful accessory is amazing!

I was JUST about to say, “Hey isn’t he that bloke from the Sarah Richardson show?” That he is. I love his quips as well and now his aesthetic! Love the matchstick idea.
I love Tommy. He’s one funny guy 🙂
Great pictures!
I feel privileged to have this lovely tour of such a stylish and welcoming home. Manly and interesting with a feeling of briskness and purpose – smashing post – thanks – Alison
The matches are amazing. I hope you’re doing well!
