Herrera in the Hamptons
by habituallychic
06 . 07 . 12Summer in New York is all about getting out of town. Patricia Herrera Lansing and her family head out to a lovely Guy Lowell designed house from 1914. Technically, it’s not the Hamptons but “Herrera on the North Shore” didn’t quite have the same ring. It was featured in Elle Decor in October 2010 and is also in my files for my future house on Long Island.
The sofas are from Mecox Gardens, my favorite place to shop in the Hamptons.
I always think even summer houses need one dark room for watching television or movies on a rainy day. The photo is by Roe Ethridge.
The master bedroom with linens by Matouk.
Daughter Carolina’s sweet bedroom.
The sunroom features Crate & Barrel sofas and Lulu DK fabric tablecloth.
Patricia Herrera Lansing and her sister Carolina Herrera Baez and children.
I always associate hydrangea with the Hamptons, and the now the North Fork in this case.

Love that big blue zebra print chair. Well, really everything.
I’ll take the pool house.
Love this post! Actually, all of your posts. I am patiently waiting for my hydrangeas to bloom.
Will be enjoying them all summer…
Well you just got to love this home! And the clothes line as well:)

That entryway is STUNNING! You really can’t go wrong with an ivy covered wall!

Ah, I have to get back to The Hamptons, my teenage years were spent between there and LA at my relatives homes.
Wow, I can’t believe this Elle Decor feature has been over 2 yrs already. Yet her interior design still looks fresh and stylish, not dated at all. The Herreras are the epitome of style anyway. I hope you will share your future Long Island summer home soon.:)
How beautiful! I love the
North Shore, we live on LI & every summer we spend almost half our time there. I think it is a hidden gem, the beaches, the country & vineyards, etc..:)I am loving your blog, glad I found you!
Have a great day,
Jen
