Cool on the Cape
by habituallychic
05 . 29 . 12Memorial Day is supposed to be a day to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. In reality, it’s become the unofficial start of summer and beach season. I loved visiting Cape Cod when I lived in Boston so I felt a pang of nostalgia when I saw John Derian‘s Provincetown house in on Bon Appetit magazine. It’s such a lovely simple home full of friends, fun, and food. If you look close, you may even see Chance designer Julia Leach who I wrote about last week.
Happy Summer!

I think it’s great that you mentioned Memorial Day in your post today. However, you may not have realized that your first image of the flag shows the flag hanging incorrectly. When hanging the American flag vertically in the manner shown the stars should be on the left of anyone viewing the flag from the street. Maybe next year you can select an image with the proper display of the flag.
Have a great day.

Hi Heather–It would be fun to be a fly -on-the-wall. Great images. Have a great week. Mary
