Great Scott
by habituallychic
04 . 19 . 12My appointment at the hair salon yesterday gave me time to read the new May issue of Vogue. It features the Paris apartment of fashion designer and former model L’Wren Scott. For those of you who don’t know, she has also been dating Sir Mick Jagger for the last ten years. That’s actually important information because of the pieces in the gorgeous left bank flat were rescued from some of his homes including the entire master bath. One of the first things I did was scan the article to see if she worked with an interior designer. She worked with an architect but did all the decorating herself with the help of many assistants I’m sure. She said it took nine months to choose the right paint colors and it looks like it was worth the wait. Every wall and fabric color is absolutely perfect for the grey light of Paris. It always sounds like a cliche when you say you could see yourself moving right in and not changing anything but in this case it’s true. I’d even let Mick stay.

Stunning images.
Buon Compleanno Heather (belated…) celebrate life and spring!
Very chic, indeed!
Wow…obviously the lady has great style!!!!
happy birthday! great interiors and great taste, but I still can’t make out why that Mao Tse dung portrait should be considered a piece of design. When I think of all the horrible things that man did, I feel so indignated and angry.
I agree she did a wonderful job. Each room offers a unique look and so well thought out.
L’Wren has fabulous taste. I remember her dressing Nicole Kidman in a long crystal necklace that looked like it had been all tangled up. The first time I’d heard of her was four years ago in an In Style magazine. I was very impressed with her aesthetic because the clothes she designs don’t overpower the woman’s beauty. Halelujah. I’ve had Habitually Chic on my blog roll for some time and would love it if you’d put Joy of Nesting on yours! Have a great weekend. Shiree’
It would be impossible to be unhappy in these rooms–they are filled with positive energy and light. My goodness, that lady has legs!! Great post–oh to be in Paris. Mary
