After a brief reprieve of warmer temps on Saturday, we’re back to feeling the winter chill in New York.  Perfect time to revisit my trip to Morocco and luxurious stay at the Four Season Marrakech.  The hotel had only been open for a few short months when we arrived and we were the very first press to experience its splendor.  It really does remind me of an oasis in the dessert full of palm trees and gorgeous pools. It’s about five minutes from the airport and shopping in the souk but you couldn’t feel farther away from the madness of Marrakech.  They were having the grand opening celebration a few days after your departure and the Prince of Saudi Arabia had flown in for the festivities.  Almost wanted to become one of wives just so I could stay in this paradise forever. It was that magical. Sigh.

Glad to hear that you loved it. My favorite hotel in the Medina is the Villa des Orangers or I like staying in the Palmeraie. However, i booked a few days ago the 4 seasons for an April trip, can’t wait to see how it like, especially looking forward to the pool…

what a gorgeous hotel, but then again, find me an ugly hotel that has a name starting with “Four Seasons” – Impossible! Great Pics!

Here’s what I love most from your photos: Lanterns, lanterns, and lanterns!! I love the intricate patterns in the metal, so beautiful. The tile work and fretwork are also gorgeous. It all says “Morocco” to me!

That really is a gorgeous property. Your pictures are such a good representation, takes me back to my trip there last September! I loved all the fresh herbs they had growing on the property. Thank you for showing so many of the gorgeous lighting fixtures too! I was able to tour the Yahya showroom where they were all made. They do amazing work!
