Chic Repeat

07 . 07 . 11I’m traveling back to New York today but have lost my wi-fi connection. If AT&T ever tries to talk you into buying MiFi, I definitely don’t recommend it. Luckily, I had uploaded some photos of Calvin Klein fashion designer Francisco Costa’s New York apartment. Even though I posted some a few years ago, I thought it was worth another look especially since I found a few new views. The apartment is so timeless that I have a feeling that it will be a favorite for years to come. I am also finally moving into my new apartment on Friday and might have to take a few design inspirations from this place as well. Just hope I get my connection back soon so I can post photos. Later skaters!

My sympathies. I hate the mega-conjoined AT&T-PacBell-SBC global-Yahoo craziness but I am stuck with it also.
Love that horse photograph in the bedroom! I admire the minimal Calvin look but have never managed to do it somehow.
Such a beautiful place. It’s my first time seeing it. Thank You
Ah, my oh my!! Adore this space!

it’s a STUNNING space. I can only aspire to my house looking half as good one day… the color scheme is similar, but just need that eye for detail only a designer can bring 🙂
Thank for re-posting as it will be my inspiration!!
I die a little every time I see that shot of his bookshelves, it’s been a favorite inspiration after you included it in your bookshelves post and led me to create one in my home. Thanks for posting the rest of the room, I definitely love a moody library!
What an AMAZING apartment. I love every little thing!
What a chic NY apartment. Especially love the little bar area.
Sorry to hear your MiFi isn’t working. We love ours from their competitor, but we can’t get a signal in the mountains from AT&T. I know it’s so frustrating when anything associated with the internet isn’t working. Grrr.
My first visit. It will definitely not be my last.

I love that picture of the horse’s mane – one of my fav equestrian photos ever! Very calming colour scheme…
I love how even his apartment is a testament to the Calvin Klein design esthetic of “less is more”. Beautiful.
The shot of the painting reminds me of the advice a French friend gave me twenty-some odd years ago:
All you need is a bed, a room with a view and a painting you love. Then you have a home.
Loving all of this… especially the horn chair. Fantastic.
I could move into this apartment this morning. Plug in my toothbrush and not be seen for two weeks. Great post.
I love all of the spaces, with the exception of the living room. The choices of the various grays are amazing. Good luck tomorrow–remember: everything is fixable or it is not. Mary
Totally and utterly up my alley. Thank you for sharing!
What a stunning and chic home. J’adore! Thank you so much for sharing this inspirational design. Best of luck with your upcoming move.
Gorgeous! If it were just a titch more feminine, it would be my dream apartment!
Sleep well in your new apartment!
Mary
Stunning, all of it, the colors, the style, the elegance. I just dont like that chair.
Both he and his apartment are completely divine!!
Can’t wait to see your new digs 🙂
xx
Hi Heather,
Just love the photos, (and of course rooms) in your last post, elegant, relaxed and not at all that cold hospital minimalism I hate, (but each to his own).
Love the wallpaper in one of the bedrooms/study? and that black and gilt Georgian style chest of drawers is a piece to covet. Love the applied architectual wall detailing.
Bet you are excited about moving into your new abode and getting stuck into the decorating.
Good luck with your move.
Warm wishes,
Daryl
definition of contemporary, like the art-deco style of the rug and some art also like the neutral colours which let you add colour if you want to etc 🙂
I really love this apartment! I recognized it immediately since the living room image is on the landing page of Mark Cunningham’s website. They do amazing work!

Does anyone know where the bronze and guilt swivel arm wall light with a cream shade come from?
If not where can you get a similar shade wall light (the finish is not important)?
