Spring Fling

I’m sure you’ve already heard me declare that I really want to burn all my winter clothes but I really mean it this time.  I’m over boots, tights, sweaters, scarves, hats, gloves, and coats.  I long for weather that will allow me to just wear jeans and flats with a top of course and a light jacket.  I have been buying colorful spring clothes which now hang in my closet taunting me.  That’s why I love all of these ladies ensembles.  I wish I could incorporate more color into my winter wardrobe for this almost spring but not quite time of year.   Even just a lighter colored jacket would help. I’ve already decided that I’m not buying anything grey next fall and might even do something really crazy like buy a red coat.  But for now, the best I can do are red nails.  Better than nothing I guess.

    Fab people watching!
I wish I lived in a climate where winter didn’t drag on until April!
Be brave, embrace a red jacket next fall, and in the mean time, wear a fabulously bright lipstick!

Really, a red coat is crazy for you? That should be a staple, even if you don’t wear it for a few seasons. But many think of red as a neutral anyway–just look at the Japanese.

    Embrace color.

I bought a red wool coat this year (from Overstock) and it has delighted me! Especially when I kind of accidentally wear it with my dark purple pashmina. Just a lithe too Red Hat Society, but gorgeous. And just what I needed! Hang in there!

Yes, agreed! Last weekend gave us a taste of warmer weather… it’s the weight of Winter coats that gets me down, no matter the colour. I want the lightness of Spring!

I am also SOOOOOO over winter. We’ve had record snows and cold temperatures as well as the usual unending grey sky. Blahhh 😛 Give me rich pinks, sky blues, acid green, egg yolk yellow, and lots of tangerine. I need a new wardrobe 🙂

Heather – I’m with you 100% on this one! The pictures left me swooning. And, lastly, a red winter coat I bought two years ago was the best decision ever made!
    Hurry, spring!
