Runway to Room

I don’t normally do runway to room posts but there is something about this spring 2011 design by Diane von Furstenberg that reminds me of this gorgeous room by Olivier Gagnère.  Orange and purple is such an unusual color combination but in both cases it seems to work.  C’est magnafique!

Thanks for this. I will be incorporating the color “plum” with red soon. This helps me visulize it better.

I love the DVF spring 2011 collection! The bright colors are so fun to see – and it works so well in this room too!

Very well done. We think you should do more of these.

Like the grey walls, like the accent colors and furniture and like the dormer! The rug and the herringbone floor is awesome too.

I was just at Homesense today and they have these purple velvety chairs with a similar back – so in case there are any Canadians also reading…the look CAN be yours!

Like the orange/purple. I’m usually not a fan of orange but lately I’m really into it when it’s combined with unusual colors. I like orange/turquoise too.

    This is a fantastic runway/room comparison – I’m impressed!
