Roman & Williams At Home

I know not everyone likes color so I thought I’d post something a little more neutral today.  Roman & Williams partners in work and life, Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, live in a fabulous loft downtown that is both eclectic and elegant.  I absolutely love the kitchen and home office area with a glass enclosed library.  It’s snowing yet again in New York and I wish I could lounge around in that library reading all day.  Enjoy!

This place is so handsome. It’s full of sophistication and intellect, yet comfortably and charmingly unpretentious. I especially love the sofa- it looks like a Sergio Rodrigues piece. Love his work. The fur over the sofa is gorgeous, I love the rug, too. (Only maybe sans the attached head) And the art collection is to-die-for. Wonderful post!

I’m in love with the leather sofa covered with the fur blanket. I want to crawl into the picture and curl up in the blankets, come back to earth a while later. 🙂 I guess for now I’ll settle for sleep on my ikea mattress…!

I love all the light fixtures. Though the walls are neutral, the amount of photography and art and volume everything has makes the rooms seem cluttered, dark, and in some rooms, overwhelming.

But I do love that library and the overall ‘feel’ these spaces give off is a home-body presence.

    books,
    bulb vases,
    art.
i love the library and kitchen,
those dark-dark floors and the bearskin rug!
