After a week of rain, we are finally feeling crisp autumnal weather in New York.  Pumpkins are for sale on every corner and soon it will be time to light a fire.  Happy October!
“There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on the feelings, as now in October.” – Nathaniel Hawthorne

I love cosying up for winter. I’m just trying to organise some redecorating before Christmas, I could have done with your help yesterday, choosing new chairs is such a headache, I’m normally quite minimalist in colour and pattern but changed the habits of a lifetime by opting for 1940’s chairs recovered in zebra print ugh, hope I don’t hate them!

I love this blog post! I just did a blog on fireplaces, as well, and although I live in the south and it is not quite time for a fire yet, it is certainly fall weather!

    Love that last pic,
there is something about an open fire and the line of rubber boots is great!

Just said the exact thing to my hubby last night. From air conditioning to cozy fires in less than a week ~ crazy!

That 6th photo from Elle Decor makes me want to redecorate my entire house. So chic, yet still comfy ~ the perfect mix.
