NYFW: Nanette Lepore Spring 2011
by habituallychic
09 . 19 . 10Another show I attended during fashion week with pretty and colorful fashions was Nanette Lepore. It was very reminiscent of her home in the West Village which is also very colorful and at times a little whimsical. You can tell Nanette is a designer who doesn’t take fashion or herself so seriously. Sometimes you just want to wear a pretty dress and you can always count on finding one at Nanette Lepore. The designer says she designs for a “bold woman who has fun and celebrates life.” An interesting touch to the show was John Forté and his ensemble performing original songs during the runway show. It was a perfect combination and a lovely touch. Enjoy!

Beautiful! Very interesting how the fashions relate so closely to her interiors… LOVE the metallics! that shimmer… like sunshine…so chic!
Beautiful clothes and beutiful decor.
great post Heather. I love the referencing back and forth between her clothes and her home. I couldn’t decide which had me gasping more the outfit or the room shot … hahaha! One thing is for sure the woman has unbelievable style!
Pure gorgeousness! I love the combination of gold skirt with tucked in white blouse. Very elegant.
xo
Thanks!
We are sharing the same insight; fasion- and interior design do overlap each other.
i love her fashions. These dresses are great — how nice to have them to go-to in the closet. The interiors are amazing! I love the crystal ship chandelier and that fabulous tufted bed! So cool.
I hope you will come for a visit at Splendid Market, I am having a great giveaway of some items I brought back from Europe this summer.
Yay for Nanette, her home has always been one of my absolute favorites! I love how her spring line flawlessly blends into her home!
Love it!
Nanette Lepore’s home is absolutely charming (and chic) same style I adore in Muriel Brandolini d’Adda, one of my favorite designers. As I said in my interview with Ivan Meade I also always try to put some humour or unexpected touches in my Interior projects.
Fantastic ! I love the way you did this 🙂
I love the home and the fashions..
oh too funny – I almost did the exact same post but wanted to post right after I went to the show, so I ended up showing just the collection. You also featured that beautiful long flowered dress which I think was my favorite piece in the collection. I wonder if we were sitting near each other.
Every dress is perfection. Love!
This lady has style. Thanks for the Elle Decor feature of her home. I loved the home when I first saw it; now I love it even more with the reference to her fashions. Thanks, Mary
Love the looks and her home–especially that sitting area.
I really enjoyed how you put the two together. Personally I love the flowing blouses. I have a bunch that I got at thrift stores and just feel so pretty when I wear them.
Thanks
I just started to follow you and I must say that I love, love, LOVE this post. I adore NL’s clothes and now her abode as well. Thanks!

Great post! What a visual smorgasbord! Looks like someone you’d love to hang out with…esp love the “love” garden chairs — nice detail!
Gorgeous post! Love Nanette Lepore’s decor as well as her clothing line!
Great bedroom with the turquoise curtains and touches of pink.
How great to get a glimpse at her home. I am a huge fan. Colorful and lovely.
I am loving these shots Heather, it makes me want to go out and spend some serious money on furnishing our new apartment here!
