Chic Reads: The Summer We Read Gatsby

I really liked Danielle Ganek‘s debut novel, Lulu Meets God and Doubts Him, and I’m hoping that her second proves just as enjoyable. While the first dealt with the sometimes absurd New York art scene, The Summer We Met Gatsby is about “two half-sisters search for the ‘thing of utmost value’ in an inherited ramshackle Southampton cottage.” What could be better for reading on the beach in the Hamptons than a story that actually takes place there and sounds a wee bit like a Gray Gardens adventure? Happy Reading!

Oh…that sounds good….I’m going straight to Amazon and ordering it. The Great Gatsby is just about my favorite book of all time. The only book I’ve reread like 5 times.

Thanks for letting me know about this book.

Sounds like a good choice as I look at The Great Gatsby sitting on my bookshelf next to A
    oveable Feast by Hemingway!

I finished The Summer We Read Gatsby not too long ago and really enjoyed it — hope you do, too!
