It’s Easy Being Green

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I’m posting all my favorite green images. And what better place to start than with a bar since most everyone will spend the day drinking. Not just any bar mind you but the cameo Bar at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica designed by Kelly Wearstler. Kelly said she doesn’t have a favorite color but it does seem like she has an affinity for green. It always looks fresh and sophisticated in her interiors. It also makes me think that despite what Kermit says, it’s actually pretty easy being green!

I love the green LC2 chairs by le Corbusier! I’d honestly gotten pretty sick of seeing those everywhere but the green really freshens them up.

Your blog is one of my favorites…it’s the first thing I read in the morning on my blackberry while still in bed, then the NYTimes. Your photo library is fantastic and I must assume MASSIVE.

I too have an affinity for green, I can’t seem to shake it.

    This is a great collection!

I must give Wearstler credit in that it can be very difficult finding good coordinating greens & she does use them so well!

I’m so glad everyone is enjoying the green today! Hopefully it will bring us all the luck of the Irish.

And to Foodie, your comment made me laugh because I did realize that I didn’t include Steven Gambrel!

  35. Barbara March 23, 2010 | 5:25 pm

Lovely post in my favorite color. Shows the range of green from strictly elegant to earthy.
Being environmentally friendly is vital to me which is why I upcycle, recycle and work with good products like Earth Safe Finishes and bamboo in all forms. No Voc and sustainable really matter.
