California Dreamin’
by habituallychic
03 . 09 . 10Although the weather is actually starting to warm up in New York, I still can’t stop thinking about my upcoming trip to LA! I’m very excited to get away and relax! But right now, I’m getting ready for a meeting so I’m leaving you with some pics of the California home of interior designer David Netto and his family. It was featured in Vogue many years back but I found a few more shots. Just as people wear less clothing when it’s warm, it seems like some designers lessen up on the furniture and accessories in homes in warmer climates. I also love that the sliding doors blur the line between indoors and out. Enjoy!

Have a great time in California! If you are in Northern Cal, look me up!
Okay, it’s official, we’re soul mates. You always publish my FAVORITES! I think Netto is such a genius, I just love how he always manages to warm up modern architecture. Stunning. You’re going to have such fun in LA!!! XO
Beautiful pics, the home looks so relaxed and airy! Hope you have a great trip 🙂
What a beautiful home!!
I’m a huge fan of french sliding doors to let the sunshine in.
Have a great trip! x
hip. clean. subtle. modern. nice. thanks.
LOVE IT
I’m right with you on the California dreaming! These homes which offer endless indoor/outdoor living are unbeatable. And what seemed like uninteresting architecture to me in the 90’s, suddenly feel so current and unbearably cool.
Love this space!
beautiful! i want to just implant myself in that living room
I love his work. In his home it seems as if the furniture does double duty as sculpture. thanks. Mary
The weather is finally warm here and I am going to Utah SKIING tom. It kinda sucks.
one of my favorites! I’m also constantly referring to the home that he and Ione Skye did…so fresh! do you know if this is a Neutra house?
have a wonderful time in LA. I’m starting to miss it since I moved to Chicago!
