I was excited to receive an advance copy of American Modern by Thomas O’Brien yesterday. I think I may have actually squealed with delight upon opening the package. I have been looking forward to the release of this book since I first sped it on Amazon.com last June and I’m happy to report that it doesn’t disappoint. We all know the photos are the most important part of any design book and they are beautiful, but what I really enjoyed were the stories behind each object, room and project. The book won’t be officially released until April 1, 2010 but I suggest you reserve your copy now. I think it’s going to be a best seller!

    I have a copy on order from Amazon and they just sent me an email that it is being sent around March 8. Can’t wait to see it. Mary

    We can not wait to see the book! In the brief pages we have seen it is truly a labor of love by Thomas! We will have a book signing to the trade at the Hickory Chair Showroom in High Point on Saturday, April 17th from 3-5. I hope you are there to join us!
