Deck the Halls!
by habituallychic
11 . 28 . 09 Have you started to deck the halls for Christmas yet? I can’t wait to visit the flower district tomorrow to pick up a wreath, garland and a few Amaryllis bulbs! There was a dark cloud hanging over my holidays last year due to my job loss but now that life is good, I want to enjoy every day of this joyous season! Happy Holidays!
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

YIPPEE! Sounds like you’ll be having a delightful Christmas this year!!! (YOUR “last year” is going to be like mine/ours THIS year, Heather, only for different reasons…)…
… I broke my back 5 weeks ago or so, & just found out it’s a DOUBLE break (that explains alot, tho!). Am in bed 24/7 TRYING to heal, EXCEPT for the few times a day I’m allowed to visit my fave blogs~~~ (if I WEREN’T “allowed to do that, pain or no pain, I’d be sent off to Bellvue!!!). Am trying to keep a “stiff upper lip” but not being able to “DO” Christmas is sooooo disappointing~~~~ (Ahhh, but things COULD) be “worse”, so I’ll just be quiet and say I’m hoping… correction… I KNOW… you’ll have fun “doing your place” this year and a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY altogether!!!)~
Thank you for ALL YOU DO, all year long, in preparing, presenting & providing your most wonderful blog for all of us to enjoy!
Warmest,

Happy holidays, without any dark couds in sight 😉
Have not started xmas decor yet, thinking the first week of Dec…oh my that’s next week already…just to busy with clients, that’s why I am up @2:15 pm working on floor plans with a coffee and smoke break and a quick check on my emails but not sure if I will have time to do it until the 20th which always upsets my husband…one year I was so busy the christmas tree came down @ after valentines another year after easter… oh my I need a vacation, we close down our design office for a week at xmas, I am so looking forward to doing as little as possible…unless I have design presentations the first day we get back, then all free time is cancelled…coffee, I need coffee
Looking forward to seeing how you would decorate for christmas, loved loved your trip to Paris pictures…I just love your blog, wish I had more time to work on mine.
Regards, Carol Ann
