My friend and fellow interior designer, Kevin Isbell and I spent quite a few hours today at the New York International Gift Fair and it made me want to open a store! We saw a lot of great products and met so many wonderful people that I can’t believe I never attended before! The Gift Fair is not just for wholesale vendors though. Anyone can attend and they sell a lot to interior designers. You just have to ask and also check the amount of the minimum order. I also can’t think of a better place to start than with Jonathan Adler. I especially loved the new Milo Baughman feeling furniture, orange nesting boxes and playing cards. All would make gifts for yourself or someone else! The fair ends on August 20th so make sure you check it out before it ends!

THANK YOU for the great pictures. Each year sence I opened my shop, I say I will attend, but never do.The fact is, we are open 7 days a week and I just can’t seem to get away. But now that I have seen your pictures and gotten a small view of the show, I know I will go and I know I will spent. I again thank you so much for the post and the info.
though i wouldn’t mind getting a peek at the burlwood pieces, who cares about JA? what’s important is that i arrived at your post via twitter!
Oh I know exactly how you feel. Those trade shows can really bring out the retailer, especially as we have such a better eye than any other! I love the orange boxes, very Hermes. Sounds like you had such a fun day.

I loved the Jonathan Adler booth! It was such a colorful and inviting one! My favorite was the pink trays and the cards with the card holder were so fun!
