Happy Summer!

05 . 25 . 09Although the calendar doesn’t mark the beginning of summer until June 21st, Memorial Day always announces the unofficial start of summer. While it may be too cold for a dip in the ocean, there is the anticipation of lazy days spent baking in the sun, boating on the waves and shopping in quaint little villages. Happy Summer!

These are fantastic pictures – I wish it wasn’t about to turn into Winter here!
I want to be in these photos! I always think of Memorial weekend as the begin of summer too!
I adore those flower boxes, and the shadows from the trees… Beautiful!!
These are gorgeous – only wish my summer looked like this! It’s more hot and sweaty in a dirty city 🙂
Ahhh summer……..great pics! We are just in the finals throws of Autumn awaiting the big chill.
Summer – I think it should last all year long!
Where is that town with the window boxes? I can imagine spending a week there as down time from hectic (but wonderful) city life. I love sailing in the Cheaspeake Bay off of Anapolis….what a dreamy summer inspired by your photos. Have a great one!!
Is that last picture the town of Nantucket, because it sure looks like it?
When you wrote at the bottom “HC needs a vacation”, I laughed because those are my initials too and I was thinking about an hour ago, when I was reviewing my paystub and it says, as of Friday, I am ONE HOUR SHORT OF NOW HAVING 6 WEEKS VACATION, that maybe it’s time to cash some of that it because, I, too, surely need a vacation! 🙂

Summer! Bring it on…the shopping in quaint little villages…is summer vacation to me!
