Designer to Watch: Courtney Giles
by habituallychic
03 . 11 . 09 I have no doubt that if Domino was still around, they would name Atlanta interior designer Courtney Giles one of their designers to watch! You may remember Courtney from her feature in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles and on Brilliant Asylum‘s chic blog and she just launched her new website, Courtney Giles Interiors, where you can check out her beautiful work. Her style can be traditional southern or glamorous and modern and always includes fabulous art which has led her to add art consulting to her repertoire. I got to know Courtney about a year ago when she was living in New York City and can honestly say that she is as nice as she is talented! I was sad to see her leave New York but it is clear that Atlanta is lucky to have her back where she belongs! She is definitely one to watch!

After seeing all those pics, I feel well inspired to get on with my day (and shut my eyes to my own horror interiors). Thanx

No matter the colors, her palettes always seem so fresh!
This girl knows her art and it’s placement. Fabulous arrangement on 3rd photo with multiple artwork behind. Thanks for sharing her talent and will watch for her again.
These beautiful images make me hungry for another issue of Domino 🙁
These beautiful images make me pine for another issue of Domino. Boo hoo 🙁
hi, i’ve been reading your blog for a few months while i renovate my apartment and have become addicted 🙂 i am now buying furniture and have become taken with a pair of dining chairs that are 2000 apiece. i can of course get knockoffs somewhere but wanted to ask your opinion on decorating with originals.
Amazing. I’m obsessed with black walls right now, and the mix of patterns is so refreshing. Thanks, I needed that!
Thank you so much for posting these photos. I always visit your blog for my morning dose of inspiration. I have been looking for the perfect brown to paint my living room walls & I LOVE the brown she uses in the 6th picture! Any ideas on what this color might be? Thanks!!
As one of my witty friends loves to remark, “I just want to lick those walls” – The paint, the fabric and the artfully arranged rooms are sublime.

Black walls. I love them and I could be happy with my bedroom having black walls, but my husband would take some convincing.
Being a person with too much “stuff” I love the way she uses art and accessories, and quite a few of them I might add, without making the rooms look cluttered. I could use some lessons from her. Great post!
wow, great pics. I love, love, love the living room with cream and shots of the robin egg blue. 🙂 thanks
Yes Hill country … I agree… I love the way she makes the little vignettes!
Great post!

These stunning dark walls prove that they don’t close down a room as some people think. I like the David Hicks feel of the geometrics.
I love that first photo, with browns, yellows and reds! Lovely palette!
I love the way she layered all of the art and mirrors, etc. Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing!
my breath has been taken away! so sad domino is not around to showcase her work. just beautiful, that bedroom, with the plates on the wall and that sun mirror, oooh, i could hang out in there for a while.

Yes…very talented!!
I love where she hung the artwork next to the nightstand.
i am a new fan
I love her style, and the way her interiors are modern yet have touches of the traditional. And to think she is in Atlanta and I have never heard of her! Great find.
I’m so happy that everyone loves Courtney’s work as much as I do! She was also nice enough to give me all the paint colors. That grey looks fabulous!
