Rose are red,
Violets are blue,
I hate Valentine’s Day!
But I love you!

Honestly sometimes I think the only people who really love Valentine’s day are children and the newly attached. Too much pressure!

Very cute post. I think some people dislike Valentine’s Day because the expectations are so high. On Valentine’s Day it’s hard to ignore the fact that you don’t have a relationship or it highlights how flawed it is. Maybe we need to rethink Valentine’s Day in terms of the love in our lives instead of the lover. Take time today to tell your girlfriend or sister or dad or even yourself how much they bring to your life and how much you value them. Just a thought.

Oh, it’s a Hallmark holiday. I was going to post an anti-Valentine for the likes of you 🙂 but you’ve covered it.

    Happy Day anyway, H.!

Hi! I am new to the blogosphere……and there are some scary people out there……so here goes!

I love Valentines day….because I love my Valentine…..my husband of almost 32 years…one reason is he runs my decorating business……..(for 20 years……and he has a fully functioning left brain)

but the main reason I love Valentine’s Day…..is we have 3 daughters between us (he had two…..I had one…7,13 and 14 when we got married……) his came for a month……and never left!

A blended family! He sends flowers to me and these daughters every Valentine’s day………and calls them!

I think that is what Valentine’s day is all about!

I am looking for a south-facing wall……to have an espalied heart at our house!

    Thanks! Penelope
