Christmas Time is Here

Yesterday, it was 65 degrees in New York. Right now, it’s 30 degrees and snowing! Crazy! I really wanted to go out and take some photos of the city covered in snow but then I decided to stay in my warm and cozy apartment, watch A Charlie Brown Christmas and write out my Christmas cards. I remember watching Charlie Brown and the gang every year growing up and it brings back lovely memories. For some reason, Lucy was always my favorite. She was like the original Blair Waldorf and always made me laugh. And needless to say that the music is also a favorite. The snow in the city definitely signifies that Christmas time really is here!

Christmas Time is Here
Christmas time is here,
Happiness and cheer,
Fun for all that children call,
Their favorite time of the year.

Snowflakes in the air,

Carols everywhere,
Olden times and ancient rhymes,
Of love and dreams to share.

Sleigh bells in the air,

Beauty everywhere,
Yuletide by the fireside,
And joyful memories there.

Christmas time is here,

We’ll be drawing near,
Oh, that we could always see,
Such spirit through the year,
Oh, that we could always see,
Such spirit through the year…

I have always loved the TV show and the music. I wait for them every Christmas, and I am 49!

I think the soundtrack of the TV show is one of my top three Christmas albums.

Have a very very lovely Holiday season and a fantastic 2009!

I love that you’re rockin’ the Charlie Brown spirit for the holidays. Charlie Brown IS habitually chic! And the soundtrack has some of the best tunes ever.

You are so right regarding Lucy van Pelt being the original Blair Waldorf.

    “Real estate.”

    Style and Grace – It’s a classic!

Solange – Definitely bring warm flat boots for walking around during the day and a hat, gloves and scarf! If you need any advice on where to go while here, email me!

    M. Lane – I think everyone should own the soundtrack! It’s so sweet!

Lisa D – maybe I love Lucy since I’m an only child 😉

Ray – I love the word swell! Thanks!

Jezebel – Charlie Brown and the gang are definitely chic!

L – thanks! That was sweet of you!

Renee – everytime I walk by the trees for sale on the street, I see a little sad Charlie Brown tree that I want to take home. But it’s probably $50 so I don’t!

    Joanna – glad you agree!

Anonymous – I wonder if you cou;d pair up all the Charlie Brown characters with a Gossip Girl counterpart. Maybe Charlie Brown is Dan and Sally is Jenny. Schroeder is Chuck who we also saw play the piano! Vanessa can be Peppermint Patty. Not sure who Serena would be, maybe the Little Red Haired Girl. Ha!
