Sara Story‘s room at the Kips Bay Designer Show House this year was one of my favorites and I felt an immediate affinity for her after reading her 1stdibs Style Compass interview since so many of her answers mirrored my own. I was checking out her website recently and noticed some new photos in her portfolio and thought you might enjoy them too. I also love peaking at her client’s art collections and I’m very jealous of whoever owns all of those works by Elizabeth Peyton!

Divine, divine, devine. I love that bedroom and I love her aesthetic. So clean and modern yet warm and inviting, thank you so much for the intro to her work!

Beautiful spaces. They don’t look overly “designed”, but all of them are very liveable.

I like the library with the big Chesterfield sofa, although the shelves should be full of books — the room looks unfinished without it.

The bathroom with the red panelling is also great.

Wow, I’m mad about that red accented bathroom. The floor is divine. What a beautiful collection of rooms.

fun apartment. probably they got those peytons before they were so hot? she’s been slumping for the past few years in terms of interest, only to be reinvigorated by her show at the new museum. but with the recession, it may be fall back slightly to a little above the original slightly post hotel chelsea prices.

I spy a West Elm Parsons desk. I love it when designers mix the low with the high. Cheap is the new chic.

the place looks staged and is entirely lacking conviction and soul.

the whole is (far) less than the sum of the parts.

in the hands of someone more resourceful, this place would be amazing.

I am seeing more red, purple and orange in design lately, which I find exciting. I like the shots of colour in these interiors.

loving the wallpaper designs (the orange is amazing) and its nice to see chesterfield sofas coming back into fashion as they look great when put against a modern surrounding… bought mine from DistinctiveChesterfields.co.uk and its still going strong!
