Every time I go to see my colorist (no, I’m not naturally this blonde) I take a photo of Jennifer Aniston with me and tell her that’s what I want it to look like. After seeing Jennifer in the December 2008 issue of Vogue, I realize now that it will never look that good because I am not a movie star or a resident of sunny California. But one can dream.

The article is just as good as the beautiful photos by Craig McDean including the beyond gorgeous one above. I especially love it when she says, “Somebody once said, Everything you want in the world is just right outside your comfort zone. Everythingyoucouldpossiblywant!” Amen sister. So I encourage you to step outside your comfort zone today. I’ll be doing that too but first I have make a hair appointment!

You’re totally right, my dear! I’m never, and I said NEVER, happy with my hair. I’m kinda resigning lately… 🙂

I love her hair color too. It’s the perfect shade of not totally blonde.

That is a great quote to hang on to. Who knew Anniston would be dishing out good advice?
    : )

I have loved this photo! Along with her hair, how beautiful is that purse she is clutching? I was sad they didn’t mention where it was from in the credits.

    Beautiful pictures, natural style.
But may I say that she didn’t look like herself at all ! She looks like a model who plays it natural after 3 hours of hairdresser, makeup, etc …

Not everything, as she couldn’t keep Brad Pitt.

I have the secret to Jennifer Aniston’s hair color – Michael Canale. He does her hair in L.A. but he comes to NYC one week out of the month and D.C. one week out of the month. It cost about $280 but well worth it for perfect color! Call the L.A. salon for an appointment. I have been going to him for the past 8 years and love my color.

the last comment by “susan m. jamieson” seems an obvious shill. don’t buy it.

Oh Sweetie– I am a hairdresser. Just come see me and I will make you look even more fabulous than she! How about that! Just kidding with ya. I wonder how much they pay to have their hair done? I live in Kentucky and our color for hilights start around 80- so in california I know it has to be more. Daisy~

What’s a “shill”? Google Michael Canale if you don’t believe me. He is the one that does her hair in L.A. There is no one else that can do color like he does.

Just found your wonderful blog…and I needed to hear Aniston’s quote regarding everything you want being right outside your comfort zone. And surely there must be great colorists in NYC. Or take a trip outside your comfort zone — to L.A. and get an appointment with Mr. Canale. You only live once. Might as well do it with great hair!
