One of my biggest regrets in life is that for all the years I lived in Boston, I never visited Nantucket. Terrible. I know. I’m ashamed. But it’s not easy to get to and requires ferry reservations, so I just always went to the Cape. The photos of this home on Nantucket Harbor that I found online at House Beautiful are just the motivation I need to plan a trip as soon as possible. It is the perfect example of decorating with nautical accents that is so charming and makes me miss New England, especially when it’s 90+ degrees in New York. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

You should go to Nantucket, it is lovely. Leave your car, take your bicycle and your walking shoes. And bring all your money.
Ah, I love the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard! I don’t know how you feel about flying, but during the summer JetBlue offers a route from JFK to Nantucket. If you are able to plan ahead, the fares are pretty reasonable.
I am going to have to take back what I just said above… the fares WERE pretty reasonable…not so anymore! Apologies!

Very Nantucket-y! I got to visit “the Vineyard” for the first time a couple of years ago, and still dream about it. This is lovely.
My mom and I have a four-day “girls” weekend planned in Nantucket in July. I haven’t been there since I was in my early twenties…many moons ago. I can’t wait!
Loved, loved, loved this post yesterday! I adore Nantucket! This cottage is right up my alley. Love the colors and the use of antique nautical items. I would love to live here. The bathroom is divine. I also want a Hinckley someday.
Nantucket is so charming! We don’t have anything quite like it here on the West Coast. My favorite of these images is the loveseat bench tucked away in the nook of the house.
