A Treasure-Filled French Hideaway

I rarely buy magazines anymore, I just read them online, but I’m glad I picked up the latest issue of Vogue while I was traveling last week. Featured inside is the treasure-filled French country house of John Galliano and Alexis Roche photographed by François Halard. He worked on the interiors with Daniel Slowik, formerly at Colefax & Fowler, who is another favorite person I follow on Instagram. “It was a very collaborative process,” Slowik recalls, “and it was fun to work with a fashion designer who understands the feel and idea of couture. He’s always going for the most exciting options.” The colors and patina of everything are perfection and what the Europeans do so well. Maybe I would buy magazines more often if they were filled with this much beauty.
