People keep declaring that no one wants to buy brown furniture these days. I always say,’Great! More for me!’ The real problem is that younger folks don’t realize that you can mix antiques and Old Master paintings with modern pieces and motorcycles. Such is the case in the uptown duplex apartment of art advisor Will Kopelman that can be seen in the new February 2019 issue of Architectural Digest. He actually decorated it himself while Gil Schafer took care of the architectural elements.

It’s no surprise that Will has great taste in decorating since his father Arie Kopelman was not only served as the President and COO of Chanel from 1986 until 2004 but was also the chairman of the Winter Antiques Show from 1995 to 2017. (Don’t forget that it opens on Friday.) The Kopelmans also have a beautiful home on Nantucket filled with antiques.

Will shares the apartment with his two daughters that also goes to show that having nice things and children can coexist. Definitely pick up the new issue of Architectural Digest or click here to read more.
