The Little Black Jacket exhibition by Chanel had me thinking about that other iconic item, the Chanel quilted purse. I’m lucky to own one vintage woven version but not the classic 2.55 model. It’s the bag you can use forever and pass down to the next generation. Maybe I’ll buy myself to celebrate the publication of my book or just because.

SPLURGE girl! You deserve it. Plus, it will last for generations in the family like you said. I love the black, what color would you get?
I vote for ‘just because’. An investment like this doesn’t need justification!
I think my heart stopped multiple times during this post!
Go for it! You deserve it! The Chanel bag is a worth it investment besides being a beautiful bag. It will last forever too. Beautiful pictures of the Chanel bag in this post.
I’ve got 4 and rarely use them, I think they are so overexposed now. Treat yourself to some deliciousness from Moynat!
A classic piece as you said, for the next generation:)
Love the turquoise!
What’s not to love!? I’ll take one of each!
Aaaaaah! Love this post – thank God for Chanel 🙂
if I won the lottery one of these would be a first week of shopping purchase at Holts…
I have 2 chanel necklaces… I should wear them more often, thanks for reminding me. And then there’s Chanel no.5, I do not leave home without it…
I say go for it! I had one and left it in a cab, with a boatload of cash I was using to go antique shopping the next day. Still one of the best (and worst) nights EVER.
That’s a special bag…get yourself one!!
Oh how I have long coveted one of these babies. Classic, chic, gorgeous…and yes, family heirloom.
You should definitely treat yourself….you wrote a book for pete’s sake…you totally deserve it!
Have a great weekend 🙂
